Geiger Corrections Center Overview

Geiger Corrections Center is operated by Spokane County Detention Services at 3507 S Spotted Road in Spokane. County materials place it near Spokane International Airport and former Geiger Field, about 12 minutes west of the downtown jail. Unlike the downtown Spokane County Jail, Geiger is framed in county research as lower-risk county corrections, community corrections, work release, work crews, electronic home monitoring support, and jail alternatives.

The county's facility page gives the Geiger phone number as 509-477-3259. It also gives unusually specific directions: take Exit 276 from I-90, go north, turn left at Will D. Alton Road, and after crossing Spotted Road the facility will be visible. Parking is on the west side of the housing units, and the visitors center is on the northwest corner of the parking lot.

Geiger is not a state prison and it is not searched through WADOC. It is part of Spokane County Detention Services, so the correct public lookup is the county inmate roster. Sheriff John Nowels leads the Spokane County Sheriff's Office, but Geiger custody information flows through Detention Services and the roster rather than a separate sheriff warrant or app system.

County FAQ material explains Geiger's role as an overflow facility, but also says it is limited to lower-risk inmates. That limitation is central to understanding Spokane County's detention population because Geiger does not simply absorb every person who cannot fit in the downtown jail.

The broader Detention Services system has a combined average daily population of more than 700 inmates according to the county Jail Information page. A live current-inmate roster snapshot inspected on July 2, 2026 counted 701 entries across Detention Services custody, not a Geiger-only population count. The research did not locate a current official Geiger-only daily headcount, so the page should use the 367 capacity figure and the countywide roster context without inventing a current housed count.

How to Look Up an Inmate at Geiger Corrections Center

Use the official Spokane County Detention Services inmate roster for Geiger. The county's roster page says the roster covers all inmates in custody of Detention Services at Spokane County Jail and Geiger Corrections Facility. It includes Current Inmates, Recent Bookings, and Recent Releases views, plus A through Z last-name filters.

1. Open the county Detention Services roster and choose Current Inmates for present custody.
2. Use the first letter of the last name, or choose All when the name spelling is uncertain.
3. Open the person's name link and compare booking number, County ID, intake date, case number, status, charge text, and VINE link when shown.
4. Read the Status field carefully. A person on EHM is supervised in the community and is not physically housed at Geiger or the jail.

If the roster does not show the person, check Recent Bookings and Recent Releases before assuming the person is not in Spokane County custody. Geiger Corrections Center Address and Contact

Geiger's street address is the place to use for directions and facility visits, but it is not the inmate mail address. Visiting Someone at Geiger Corrections Center

Spokane County's documented county-facility visitation system is non-contact video visitation through Securus Video Connect. Visitors need a Securus account, photo ID, an email address, and a phone number. The county says applications are screened in about 24 hours, excluding weekends and holidays, and that visitation may be denied, cancelled, terminated, or restricted for misconduct.

A person may move between the downtown jail, Geiger, court, release, or community supervision depending on classification, sentence status, program eligibility, and court orders. The roster's status and detail fields are the public starting point, but they do not replace a direct call to Detention Services when a bond, visit, release, or program placement question is time-sensitive.
